Yugoslavia
Yugoslavia is a country that no longer exists. What used to make up this country, are seven independent states today. They are (capitals in parentheses): Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo ); Croatia (Zagreb); Kosovo (Pristina); Macedonia (Skopje); Montenegro (Podgorica); Serbia (Belgrade) and Slovenia (Ljubljana).

I have only been to one of these countries, viz. Croatia and I have NEVER seen such beauty in my life. On my way to Zagreb, the train went through Slovenia and although pretty, not the beauty that I experienced in Croatia. My visit to Croatia was enough to whet my appetite and the summer of 2010 I will be going back. Starting up north with Rijeka, Rovinj and Pula, working my way down to Dubrovnik (what a city, what a city!) via Makarska. From Dubrovnik I will move onto Montenegro. Although the general feeling is that “Montenegro is low on sights,” I believe that Budva and Bar justify a visit.
I also plan to visit Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is my understanding that Belgrade has taken over as THE European city when it comes to night life and everyone flocks there. I also understand that it is very similar to Zagreb, capital of Croatia. I fell in love with Zagreb. It is a city hustling and bustling with LIFE. People. The food is incredible. I really enjoyed Zagreb.
As y’all know, I travel without an itinerary. Do not be surprised if I visit all the countries that constituted the former Yugoslavia. It must have been the most beautiful country in the world.
